Test Analyst

Melbourne CBD (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote) | Permanent or 6‑Month Contract

About the Client

Our Melbourne‑based client is a leading government agency delivering critical public‑sector solutions. You'll join a high‑performing delivery team working across Azure DevOps and modern test frameworks to ensure quality and compliance.

What you'll do

  • Manage test artefacts, test plans and executions in Azure DevOps (including BrowserStack & Test & Feedback extensions)
  • Plan and perform system, integration, compatibility and regression testing with full traceability to user stories/requirements
  • Triage defects and report test outcomes clearly to project stakeholders
  • Support the Business through User Acceptance Testing and Production Verification Testing
  • Collaborate in agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and adapt testing activities to sprint goals
  • Assist Business teams with test‑case design, review and maintenance

What we're looking for

Essential

  • ≥ 3 years' experience in test analysis
  • Proven use of Azure DevOps and its extensions (BrowserStack, Test & Feedback)
  • Demonstrated system, integration, compatibility and regression testing skills, ensuring coverage to stories/requirements
  • Hands‑on experience preparing and maintaining test artefacts in Azure DevOps
  • Strong track record in planning, execution and reporting of test activities, including defect triage
  • Experience supporting Business for UAT and Production Verification Testing
  • Active participation in agile projects and ceremonies
  • Experience assisting stakeholders with test‑case preparation

Desirable

  • Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright) or scripting for automated tests
  • API testing experience and test‑data management skills
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • ISTQB or similar certification
