About Us

The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our Housekeeping Department plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall guest experience by creating a clean and welcoming environment for all at our beautiful hotel.

The Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join the team our Housekeeping Team. We have casual, part-time or full-time opportunities available.

As an essential team member within the housekeeping department, you will display an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Vacuum, dust, and polish furniture to maintain pristine condition and a hygienic environment.
  • Keep common areas and back of house clean, well-stocked, and properly maintained.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and supply rooms with necessary items e.g. linens, toiletries and cleaning products.
  • Address and fulfil special requests from guests e.g. delivering additional towels or pillows to the relevant rooms
  • Collect and dispose of rubbish from guest rooms and public areas regularly.
  • Assist with the sorting, washing, drying and folding of hotel linens and guest laundry where necessary.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate departments, ensuring that security procedures are followed.
  • Clean and tidy guest rooms - making beds, changing linens and replenishing amenities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Housekeeping Attendant or Houseperson in a five-star hotel environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Reliable
