FitTick is compliance based approach to Occupational Health testing (respirator fit, audiometric, ear plug, drug and alcohol testing etc) and provides a compliant approach to current legislative standards for clients. We are expanding this part of our business and looking for a qualified Audiometrist to join the team as an Occupational Audiometry Consultant.
This is a mobile, client facing position ideal for a personable, well organised, client focused person who enjoys independence, travelling to different sites, and contributing to safer, healthier workplaces.
Your Role
- Conduct baseline and periodic workplace hearing assessments using mobile audiometry equipment
- Set up, operate and maintain a mobile testing vehicle
- Ensure all testing meets the requirements of relevant Australian Standards and privacy obligations
- Communicate clearly with workers and guide them through the assessment process
- Accurately record results and maintain organised client documentation
- Assist with client liaison and scheduling of on-site visits
Mandatory Qualifications & Membership
- Audiometrist qualification (minimum requirement)
- Full membership with a recognised professional body (e.g. ACAud, HAASA, or equivalent)
- Audiology qualifications are highly regarded but not essential
It is essential that you are a motivated, self starter who is professional and approachable, able to balance administration elements with the technical delivery of audiometric testing and work effectively both autonomously and within a wider support team.
Ideally you will have a background in mobile or on site service delivery within a occupational health environment and sound knowledge of OHS regulations and standards and have experience in various different industries, however, you must definitely have basic computer literacy, hold a current full driver's license, be able to tow and park a trailer (or willing to learn) and have the ability to travel.
