MAKO Mining is a specialist underground mining contractor focused on safely delivering high productivity and professional results in all narrow vein mining applications. The Company has a track record of consistent safety and production, at all times meeting our Client's expectations.

Light Vehicle Fitter:

Mako Mining are looking for a Light Vehicle Fitter with experience working in an underground mining environment to join our small mining team to service and maintain our fleet comprising of Toyota Landcruisers, utilities and other plant and equipment as required.

Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of underground mining experience.

Essential Criteria include;

  • Light Vehicle Mechanic Trade Qualification (Australian recognised)
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence
  • Adhere to WHS policies and procedures

Preferred Criteria Includes

  • Working knowledge of Toyota Landcruisers
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Safe Working at Heights
  • Current & Valid Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Motor vehicle repairer's licence
  • Underground experience - desirable

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, service and breakdown repairs to underground and road-registered vehicles
  • Carry out repairs, fault finding and attend breakdowns underground
  • Achieve machine reliability
  • Provide technical support to site maintenance team
  • Stocktake
