Graphic Artist

Rusty is an alternative surf lifestyle brand, with HQ proudly in Perth, Western Australia. Born in the mid-80's in San Diego, California by the iconic Rusty Preisendorfer, our brand has stayed true to its deep roots in surf heritage.

About the role:

We are looking for a youthful and energetic Graphic Artistwho enjoys all aspects of design, to join the team at our Global Head Office in Osborne Park, Perth WA.

We are seeking someone flexible, creative and hardworking to compliment & support our current graphics & marketing team, to help create visual concepts to communicate and promote the brand and its ventures. The successful applicant must possess strong problem-solving & communication skills and have a passion for the surf lifestyle.

What You'll Do:

• Work within design guidelines to a brief
• Work with the design team to create apparel graphics
• Create digital content for our social media platforms
• Animate logos/CTAs for marketing content
• Create & design seasonal catalogues
• Create point of sale material for Wholesale & Retail
• Create digital assets for our online store
• Develop Brand guidelines, presentations and templates for brand partners
• Be part of a collaborative team to curate events, pop up stores and marketing installations
• Assist in photoshoots when required

Skills & Experience:

• Have had at least 2 years experience in a similar role
• Graduate degree or equivalent in graphic art, graphic design or similar
• Demonstrated knowledge of advertising, media, and digital strategies
• Proficiency in Adobe suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere Pro)
• Experience with 3D graphics is desired
• Edit and create video content would be desirable
• A commercial understanding and passion for BRAND, ideally in the surf and/or casual skate/ street wear industry
• Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
