Our P-12 independent school has six campuses across the state and is built on a strong foundation of Specialist Teachers, Aides and Allied Health Professionals. We are now welcoming applications from experienced Speech Pathologists for our brand-new campus 'AQ School Brightwater' that opened in Term 1 in January 2025 in Brightwater, Mountain Creek. This position would best suit an experienced practitioner with a confident and empathetic communication style.

As a Speech Pathologist with Autism Qld (AQ) Brightwater school, you will work with teachers and teacher aides and their classes of 6-8 students across our school in a range of different ways. The role can look different day to day. You could be running small group sessions in a classroom or in the playground, supporting staff to implement strategies to enhance students' language and literacy learning, developing personalised resources, working with students to set their own goals or providing information where needed for parents, families and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and/or a willingness to learn about neurodiversity affirming practice. Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
  • Current open driver's licence.

* Please note it is a requirement of this role that you are able to hold a Working with Children Check.
