About the role

We are in need of a casual/ part time truck driver to help us keep up with the supply/demand of our product range. You will be based out of our depot at Barnsley, NSW with the potential to support all departments within the group.

Working Monday, Tuesday and Friday from mid-morning until late afternoon driving out of Barnsley to Sydney locations, areas around Newcastle and elsewhere as required.

14 hours per week with potential overtime available occasionally when supporting our fulltime driver.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain a commercial truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Transport goods and materials to various locations
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
  • Perform routine maintenance on the truck and report any issues to management
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

About you

The person we are looking for will be/have:

  • Current MR drivers license.
  • Competent, autonomous, and experienced in similar role.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations to the heavy vehicle industry.
  • Forklift license is desired.
  • Effective time management
  • An energetic and hardworking member of the team with a positive vision for every task we want to achieve.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physical ability to load and unload cargo
