About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter with strong civil carpentry capability to join our Rockhampton team.

This role will primarily involve civil works, with additional exposure to commercial construction and renovation projects. You'll be part of a supportive team delivering safe, reliable and professional carpentry services across varied project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of civil carpentry tasks, including formwork, falsework, structural works and general civil site carpentry.
  • Undertake carpentry works on commercial fit-outs, refurbishments and renovation projects as required.
  • Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Carry out framing, fix-outs, installations, and general carpentry duties.
  • Support site preparation, demolition and installation activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, subcontractors and team members.
  • Identify and report any issues, risks, or defects on-site.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil carpentry (preferred), with exposure to commercial and/or renovation works.
  • Strong understanding of construction standards, building codes, and site safety requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Proficiency with a full range of hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Current driver's licence
