About the role

We are seeking an experienced Education Counsellor to join our team at KBA Global Pty Ltd in Auburn, NSW. As an Education Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to international students, while also assisting with essential administrative functions to ensure smooth operations across the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Advising international students on course selection, application processes, and visa requirements
  • Assisting students with enrolment and registration procedures
  • Providing ongoing academic and personal support to students, addressing any issues or concerns they may have
  • Conducting information sessions and workshops to educate students about educational opportunities and pathways
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of student interactions and progress
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless and holistic student experience
  • Manage correspondence (emails, phone calls, and inquiries) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide general office support including scheduling appointments, organising meetings, and managing calendars

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a student services or education counselling role, preferably in an international student environment
  • Strong understanding of the Australian education system, including admission requirements, visa regulations, and support services available to international students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide empathetic support to students
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address student concerns and find practical solutions
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to manage a diverse caseload
  • Fluency in English and at preferably one other language
