Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Educator to support the effective delivery of vocational education and training programs in the Community, CYFI and Mental Health space. This is a greatopportunity to contribute to strategic projects, drive operational improvements, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across multiple programs
- Coordinate program operations including timetabling, staff support, and student progress
- Mentor and support teaching staff, including Teachers Under Supervision
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
- Engage with stakeholders to promote and enhance programs
- Maintain educational and vocational currency
- Drive continuous improvement in teaching practices
- Relevant qualifications in adult or vocational education (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110 and AQF6+ or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' industry experience in relevant fields
- Extensive teaching experience with strong learner-centred practice
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ICT skills
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and innovate in educational settings
- Knowledge of VET compliance, curriculum development, and quality assurance
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
