The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with strong trailer and prime mover experience to join our team at our Penfield workshop. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, and repairs of our road transport fleet.

Our fleet primarily includes Kenworth, Western Star, and MAN trucks.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and complete scheduled maintenance, servicing, repairs, and breakdowns
  • Attend to breakdowns and diagnose maintenance issues
  • Complete all relevant paperwork, including maintenance checklists and service reports

Essential Criteria:

  • Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
  • Experience with prime movers and trailer equipment
  • Relevant licenses and tickets
  • Ability to complete tasks within scheduled timeframes
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Excellent time management and self-motivation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including active listening
  • Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol screening
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment medical
  • Unrestricted Manual C Class Licence
