Agricultural Engineer

McIntosh & Son, Moora, part of the McIntosh Group is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to join a high-performing service team within a progressive, well-established Agricultural Machinery business.

What you'll be doing:

• Conducting research and analysing data to develop new and improved agricultural machinery, equipment and techniques.
• Designing and testing agricultural production, processing and storage equipment.
• Developing and implementing strategies for managing soil, water, and other natural resources to ensure sustainable agricultural practices.
• Advising farmers and other agricultural professionals on selecting and using machinery, equipment, and technologies to optimise production and reduce costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for agricultural projects and proposals.
• Overseeing the construction and installation of agricultural equipment and infrastructure.
• Developing and implementing quality control processes to ensure product safety and consistency.

What you'll need to succeed:

• An agricultural engineer qualification or similar (essential)
• A competent and confident machinery operator
• Outstanding troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid driver's licence
• Adhere to safety guidelines
