About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager for Klose's , you'll play a vital role in driving the success of our retail operations. This full-time position at our Nairne Foodland will see you work closely with the Store Manager to oversee all aspects of store management and ensure the highest levels of customer service and operational efficiency. If you're a natural leader with a passion for the retail industry, this is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assist the Store Manager in the daily operation and management of the store
  2. Lead and motivate a team of Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer service
  3. Oversee the implementation of sales, merchandising and inventory management strategies
  4. Monitor and analyse store performance data to identify areas for improvement
  5. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and relevant legislation
  6. Act as Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the store's operations
  7. Contribute to the development and execution of the store's business plan

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably in the supermarket industry
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
  4. Proficient in data analysis and using performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  5. Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  6. Adaptable and able to respond effectively to changing business needs
  7. Commitment to upholding company policies and procedures
