About the Position
If you enjoy helping clients go through the process of buying, selling or refinancing a property, we are looking for you. We are looking for an experienced professional to be part of our conveyancing team. You will be responsible for the conduct of files from receiving instructions to completion with the guidance of the Principals when required, in a timely manner.
You will be supported by the Senior Conveyancing Executives, administration staff and the Principals throughout the process. You will need to be well organised, confident and able to work with minimal supervision in a very busy environment.
Reporting to the Practice Director, you will be working on both purchase and sale files. Your duties include:
- Preparation of letters and documents including collation of contracts
- Liaise with clients and financial institutions
- Conduct property searches
- Coordinating settlements, including booking settlements and finalising figures
- Preparation of client billing
- Appeal to a broad database of clients
- General file, diary and email management
- Ensure that client records are managed and maintained accurately and timely
- Manage incoming and outgoing communication
- Administrative duties including filing, scanning and photocopying
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who is willing to contribute to a family culture and team. Your skills and experience include:
- Tertiary qualification in Conveyancing or a similar discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Conveyancer
- Full understanding of legislation and practices
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritise and a strong sense of urgency
- Exceptional client relationship management skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at once
- A positive, passionate, mature attitude with the ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomes
- The ability to take instructions and work autonomously
- A strong work ethic and a strong desire to be a part of a successful team
- Able to coordinate all aspects of a sale or purchase from initial negotiations through to settlement
- Able to work independently with limited supervision
- Must have a proactive positive attitude and work well within a small team
