About the Position
As the Placement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring student placements are coordinated successfully and in a timely manner. This position will work closely with academic staff, the AD WIL and Team Leaders and professional/industry partners and is responsible for undertaking a broad range of operational activities in support of student placements within a team environment. This role is a key contact for students, industry partners and staff requiring advice in relation to student placements and will include tasks like recruitment, coordination and processing of placements, contracts and invoices.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Completion of a Certificate IV with extensive work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in student placements and education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, maintain self-motivation and discipline and achieve successful outcomes for customers within identified and agreed timeframes.
- Proficiency in the use of databases and computer software and a capacity to evaluate trends and maintain accurate student records.
- The ability to effectively engage in proactive teamwork recognising the abilities of others and utilising cooperative approaches.
- Demonstrable ability to conduct effective administration duties to a high level of competence, with attention to detail, and where appropriate maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an understanding of the principles of customer service to prove a professional approach to meeting the placement needs of students.
Desirable
- Understanding of health services and health education
- Knowledge of university placement database systems.
- Experience with legal contracts and/or finance processes
Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and NT Working with Children clearance.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $75,927 - $87,716 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $88,834 - $102,627 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
