Clinical Nurse Specialist - Child & Family Health
Bathurst Health Service
About the role
As a clinical nurse specialist, your role as a leader in our organisation will help us shape the future of rural health, with your advanced clinical skills and collaborative and supportive mentoring style, leading the team to achieving our goal of healthier rural people and thriving communities.
As custodians of the next generation in our region, our Child and Family Health nurses play a key role in the core goal of our Health District – healthier rural people and thriving communities. You'll be in early contact with our families, providing services which may include comprehensive family assessment, monitoring growth and development of young children, education and support for parents, immunisations and referrals when necessary.
You will need to have relevant post graduate qualifications, have sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team and to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.
Innovation and continuous improvement are at the heart of all roles, and through your specialist nursing expertise, the ongoing advancement of specialist clinical practice and mentoring of health care professionals in the team., you'll be part of shaping the future of rural health.
