UGL is the lead electrical contractor for preventative and corrective maintenance as well as project work for power, communications, and security systems on University of Queensland sites throughout QLD. You get to work at state-of-the-art facilities encompassing commercial buildings and offices, research laboratories, industrial workshops, as well as sports fields and street lighting projects.

Due to increase in work volumes, we are seeking Electricians to join our team on a casual basis
to 20th March 2026, with the potential to extend further.  Working primarily on large scale emergency light replacement project at UQ's Herston and St Lucia campuses, this important project involves implementing the latest technology.

About You

  • Experience working in Commercial Construction & Maintenance
  • Current Electrical Licence
  • Hold a current LVR / CPR Certificate
  • Fault finding and experience.
  • Ability to work within a team and unsupervised.
  • Experience with Nexus LX, Nexus RF & Clevertronics, Zoneworks
  • Experience with Excel & Workflow Management Systems

  • Based the vibrant UQ St Lucia campus
  • Mon – Fri, 40hrs week, 6am to 2:30pm with some flexibility
