About you:
As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating on-site activities, managing project schedules and budgets, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and quality control.
- Supervise on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure productivity, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Implement and enforce NT WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and M+J Builders' health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and regular site inspections to uphold a safe and compliant working environment.
- Monitor daily construction progress to ensure alignment with project plans, specifications, and client expectations.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
- Identify and resolve construction challenges using effective problem-solving and decision-making techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain alignment with budget expectations.
- Manage permits, inspections, and site logistics to support smooth and timely project delivery.
- Ensure materials and equipment are delivered, stored, and used efficiently and safely on-site.
- Maintain inventory control and coordinate timely procurement of necessary supplies.
- Provide clear communication with project managers and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and milestones.
- Review project outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement across construction processes.
- Ensure all activities align with the Site Specific Safety Management Plan – Annexure B: Project Roles and Responsibilities.
Educational Requirements and Relevant Experience
- General construction induction training card - White Card
- Drivers licence
- Qualification in Building, Carpentry, Project Management or similar
- At least 3 years within the Construction Industry
