The role

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to join our growing team at North Vic Caravans' in Wangaratta, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop, ensuring the efficient and high-quality servicing and repair of our customers' caravans and motorhomes.

Key responsibilities

  1. Manage and coordinate the work of the workshop technicians to complete all assigned tasks on time and to a high standard
  2. Oversee the maintenance and repair of caravans and motorhomes, including identifying and addressing any issues
  3. Ensure that all workshop activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  4. Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and provide updates on the status of their vehicles
  5. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary parts and supplies
  6. Provide training and mentorship to workshop technicians to develop their skills and knowledge
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman or similar supervisory role in the automotive or caravan/motorhome industry
  2. Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of caravans and motorhomes
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex issues efficiently
  4. Effective communication and customer service skills to liaise with customers and team members
  5. Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians to achieve high levels of productivity and quality
  6. Familiarity with inventory management and parts ordering processes
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
