Following the award of a major long-term contract, REMA Tip Top is expanding its workforce. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Scraper Technician with valid Australian working rights to join the team to assist with Mechanical works on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing of conveyor belt scrapers.
• Clean, adjust, and maintain primary and secondary cleaners, ploughs, and water control units.
• Inspect conveyor belts to identify faults, wear, and damage.
• Adjust scraper heights to prevent damage to the conveyor belts.
• Conducting regular maintenance of impact beds and skirting areas, tracking frames, and V ploughs.
• Inspect the conveyor axis and recommend appropriate actions where necessary.
• Identify and maintain different types of scrapers.
• Troubleshoot, install, and commission new equipment as required.
• Perform quality checks to ensure machinery meets the company's standards.
• Use hand and power tools safely for maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical advice to enhance product performance.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Australian working rights.
• Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, and Gas Test Atmospheres tickets.
• White Card.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Conveyor Belt Technician or Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, ideally in a mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of conveyor belt systems and associated components such as belt cleaners, skirting systems, and belt tracking.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Lab DAS.

Desirable Qualifications:

• MSIC (assistance available).
• High-Risk Work Licence (EWP, Dogging, Rigging) – incentives provided.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
