$100, $111,250.36 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 15 of the QPRC Salary System 2025), plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time - 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

Are you ready to turn spatial insights into real-world impact across our growing region? Council is seeking a dedicated professional to join our high-performing strategic planning team as a Senior Geospatial Analyst.

In This Role You Will

  • Curate and maintain Council's land and spatial information.
  • Produce and deliver high quality geospatial products, including digital and hard copy maps, models, dashboards and other online tools,
  • Undertake specialist spatial analysis and provide advice to support council's strategic planning functions
  • Drive and promote the integration of geospatial capability within the work of the branch and directorate, including through mentoring junior staff.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Has tertiary qualifications in GIS (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in GIS, mapping systems and planning and development functions.
  • Is technically proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, scripting and analysis tools (e.g. Python, SQL, FME), electronic records management and Microsoft Office, and experience managing spatial databases and automated workflows.
  • Communicates clearly, leads and mentors teams, manages competing priorities to deliver outcomes on time, and holds a current Class 'C' driver's licence.
