About the role

Are you a confident and experienced Bus Driver looking to join a dynamic and growing team? Kangaroo Island Coachlines is seeking a reliable Casual Bus Driver to drive our coaches and provide safe and efficient transportation services to our valued customers across Kangaroo Island, SA. This is a casual role with the potential for ongoing work across both Kangaroo Island and Adelaide.

For work on Kangaroo Island, transfers from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island are provided, accommodation in Penneshaw and meals the night before you day of touring.

This role will be predomintely for transportation of cruise ship passengers across the island in either 20, 24, 40 or 57 seat buses, however will also entail 1 and 2 days tours when required.

Rates are well above average and it's a fun exciting group to join.

You must have your current driver accreditation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operating buses and coaches to transport passengers to and from destinations across Kangaroo Island and provide commentary where necessary.
  2. Adhering to all relevant road laws, company policies and safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of passengers
  3. Providing excellent customer service and assistance to passengers
  4. Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any issues or maintenance needs
  5. Assisting with other duties as required to support the smooth operation of our transport services

What we're looking for

  1. A current and valid Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid driver's licence with a proven safe driving record
  2. Experience operating buses or coaches in a passenger transport role
  3. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide a friendly and professional service
  4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow all safety protocols and company procedures
  5. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
