The Lecturer in Nursing position provides an opportunity for the successful applicant to join our dynamic and committed team and contribute to the development of the Nursing Discipline and courses (Bachelor of Nursing and Masters of Nursing Practice (Pre-registration)).

Our Nursing courses are offered in a blended delivery that allows students to study online or on campus. The role involves teaching students in Nursing courses, as well as engaging in service activities as part of a dynamic team of nursing academics. The role also provides opportunity for inter-professional and cross disciplinary collaboration within the School and across the university. This position may be required to travel to other UNE campuses.

About you

To succeed in this role, you must be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (no conditions) and hold a post graduate masters qualification (or equivalent) in an area of Nursing or health professional education. You should have experience as a registered nurse with at least five years of experience working in a clinical setting, strong teaching abilities, and experience in unit coordination and flexible course delivery. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential. Additionally, you should be committed to quality education, able to collaborate across disciplines, and willing to contribute to student support and university activities.

About the Faculty/School

The School of Health within the Faculty of Medicine and Health offers undergraduate programs, as well as postgraduate coursework and research programs in Nursing, Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, Mental Health, Public Health (One Health), Pharmacy and Health Management. The School has full time and part time/casual academic staff, as well as casual facilitator staff that are involved in regional, state, national health and private organisation.
