Home Care Team Member
At Poppy's Home Care, we're not just another care provider — we're a close-knit team built on trust, compassion, and genuine relationships. As a family-owned service, we care deeply about the people we support and the dedicated team members that support them every day.
We're growing, and we're looking for warm, thoughtful people who want to make a real difference in someone's life — not just through care, but through kindness, respect, and everyday connection.
Who You Are
You're someone who genuinely cares. You understand that good care starts with listening, patience, and treating people the way you'd want your own loved ones to be treated. You're reliable, calm under pressure, and always bring a friendly face and a caring presence.
What You'll Do
As a Home Care Team Member at Poppy's, you'll visit clients in their own homes and support them with day-to-day tasks — like personal care, preparing meals, light housekeeping, and keeping them company. But more than that, you'll bring reassurance, laughter, and companionship into their day.
You won't be doing it alone. At Poppy's, you'll always have a team behind you — people who are approachable, hands-on, and ready to support you whenever you need it. We also have clinical expertise available when required, so you can feel confident in every visit.
What You'll Need
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or higher
- First Aid and CPR certification
- National Police Check (within the last 6 months)
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- A smartphone (for rosters and communication)
- A kind nature, and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life
Why Choose Poppy's?
We know that care work is personal — and we believe working in care should feel personal too. You won't be just a name on a roster here. We'll know who you are, what matters to you, and we'll support you to grow and thrive in your role.
You can expect:
- A warm, approachable team you can count on.
- Flexible hours that work around your life and commitments
- Ongoing training and real opportunities to build your skills
- Competitive rates that reflect your care and commitment
- A workplace culture that's kind, down-to-earth, and full of heart
New to care and not yet qualified?
If you're someone who naturally cares for others and wants to start a meaningful career, we'd love to hear from you. Email and we'll talk you through what's possible.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $37.00 – $49.14 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (Required)
