Kitchen Steward

The Role

Reporting to Chief Steward, as a Kitchen Steward your main duties will include but are not limited to:

• Washing crockery, cutlery and glassware using commercial dishwashers
• Washing cooking equipment and tools
• Completing daily cleaning of the kitchens
• Rubbish removal
• Assist with the set up and pack down of buffets and banquets as required

You will work with the team to ensure that that cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all time. Attention to detail is essential.

Requirements

• An energetic and positive approach to getting the job done in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
• Availability to work increased work hours during busy periods
