The Structural CAD/CAM Detailer – Cadwork is responsible for producing accurate 3D models and shop drawings of prefabricated timber wall, floor, and roof elements using Cadwork. This mid-level role focuses on executing projects with a high level of independence, applying OFFSITE's DfMA methodology and established work flows. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in detailing timber constructions, experience using Cadwork or similar 3D platforms, and a mindset oriented toward manufacturability, buildability, and process accuracy

What you'll do:

·      3D modelling and Shop Drawing Creation

·      Project Execution and Documentation Control

·      Cross Functional Collaboration

·      Workflow Compliance and Continuous Improvement

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • 1+ years Timber frame and truss detailing OR
  • Diploma level or Higher National Certificate qualified (Architectural, Structural Engineering or Engineered Timber Technician) OR
  • 1+ years as a qualified carpenter in residential timber frame construction
  • A strong knowledge of prefabricated timber construction systems, especially roof and floor trusses
  • Experience in technical drawing and modelling and CAD/CAM workflows
  • Advanced CAD/CAM Software experience ideally CADwork
  • Ability to interpret and comply with the BCA and other relevant Australian Standards
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with clear and confident communication
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:

  • Carpenter background, 3+ years' experience in detailing for prefabrication
  • Cadwork, Revit, MiTek Sapphire, hsbCAD
