VEX Group Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Mechanical or Structural Engineer with strong drafting experience and a demonstrated ability to contribute to estimating and project planning.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Engineer, you'll work closely with our design, project, and estimating teams to support the delivery of high-quality engineered solutions across the mining and industrial sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings / fabrication drawings using Solidworks, AutoCAD or Inventor

  • Interpreting client specifications and creating fabrication-ready designs

  • Assisting in material take-offs, costings, and compiling estimates for tender submissions

  • Supporting workshop teams through the lifecycle of each job

  • Participating in site visits, client meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

  • Associate diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks preferred)

  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication, mechanical assemblies, or structural components

  • Exposure to estimating and quoting processes is highly desirable

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills

  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a growing, innovative team
