The Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administration Officer to join our People and Culture team. This is a dynamic role with a strong focus on generalist HR administration and a supporting focus on HR systems and compliance triage.

About Us
The Archdiocese of Brisbane supports over 90 parishes, Centacare services, and community agencies, delivering essential services to Queenslanders each day. The People and Culture team provides a shared HR service to all Archdiocesan entities (excluding Catholic Education), offering support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and HR systems.
About the Role
In this role, you'll provide HR administration support across the employment lifecycle—including recruitment, onboarding, volunteer management, and compliance. You will also triage HR systems queries, assist with data processing, and support safeguarding and reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HR and Volunteer inbox queries; escalate or resolve as needed
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employment changes
- Maintain volunteer records and compliance documentation
- Assist with police checks, Blue Card renewals, and training completions
- Provide data entry and basic reporting via our HRIS (Aurion)
- Triage HR systems queries and assist with minor troubleshooting
- Distribute employee exit surveys and schedule compliance tasks
- Provide back-up support across the People and Culture team
- Qualifications in HR, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with HR systems and data (Aurion experience desirable)
- Experience in HR administration and compliance support
- High regard for confidentiality, integrity, and service
- An understanding of or openness to Catholic Social Teachings
- Meaningful work supporting parishes and community services
