Job Description
Reporting to the Team Leader, the role of the SMC is to coordinate the installation, maintenance, enhancement and repair activities of the business' owned and managed assets. Support a range of maintenance and construction activities at the business' communication sites to ensure work is completed as per supplied specifications and standards of required quality.

Perform data collection, entry and quality control of the Site Management System, and other site databases pertaining to the Site Management Centre (SMC).

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Responding to in-coming phone calls relating to the National Tower Inventory activity
  • Receive, record and co-ordinate site access activity for the National Tower Inventory
  • Liaise with the business' field operatives in scheduling site visitations and inspections relating to current work or routine maintenance
  • Performance of all applicable database tasks to ensure data integrity
  • Generate/track/close work order and associated trouble tickets
  • Generate work permits for customer requested work
  • Coordinate work permits for scheduling of on-site activities
  • Coordinate planned/unplanned power outages with all applicable customers
  • Coordinate Aircraft Warning Light work orders and NOTAMS
  • Maintain histories of site maintenance and coordinate preventative maintenance program
  • Provide technical support to the business' Site Management Centre. Assist maintenance contractors with more complex maintenance requirements
  • Assist in routine maintenance and repairs pertaining to both the business' owned and managed sites
  • Manage and resolve site problems and program rectification works for both the business' owned and managed sites
  • Maintain customer contact lists
  • Assist in control payments of all contractual work as required and within agreed timeframes
  • Maintain contact and track progress of work by contractors
  • Maintain key register for all sites including site access and site hazard information for all owned and managed sites
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with key stakeholders

Desired Skills And Experience
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent computer skills in the areas of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets, primarily with Microsoft Office's suite of applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with specific ability over the telephone
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Business administration or three years' experience in a related field of employment
  • Fault management or Network Operations Centre management experience
  • Contract management experience
  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry
  • Asset maintenance experience
  • Understanding of technical fields and terminology
