The Mount
Monger Operation (MMO) is an expansive tenement package located 50km south-east
of Kalgoorlie. Spanning multiple Gold mineralisation styles, this dynamic
operation currently includes the Daisy Milano Underground Mine, the Santa,
French Kiss and Flora Dora Open Pit mining operations.

Reporting
directly to the Electrical Supervisor, the role of the Underground Electrician
is to join our high-quality and responsive maintenance team in the underground
mine, performing scheduled tasks and addressing operational needs.

The
position will be offered on 8:6, 7:7 roster as FIFO from Perth or DIDO from
Kalgoorlie.

Key
responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Preventative and breakdown
    maintenance of electrical equipment, power, communications and tele-remote
    systems for the underground mine.
  • Installation of electrical
    infrastructure in new mining areas.
  • Meeting daily with other
    maintenance personnel to meet agreed work priorities set by the
    supervisors.
  • Ensuring all electrical work is
    performed in a safe, compliant and effective manner.
  • Providing feedback in relation
    to plant and equipment.
  • Ensuring all preventative
    maintenance functions and allocated tasks are completed safely and on
    schedule.
  • Conforming to and implementing
    electrical and company standards.
  • Assisting in the development of
    departmental strategy for achieving the agreed annual targets of the
    operation.

About
You

  • Currently hold a Western
    Australian Electrical Workers License Unrestricted.
  • A minimum of two years of
    experience in maintenance and installations for underground hard rock
    mining and surface infrastructure.
  • Qualifications and experience
    in HV switching (desirable).
  • A good knowledge of underground
    leaky feeder communication systems.
  • Maintaining and repairing 2200
    Series remote bogging systems.
  • Exceptional skills in
    problem-solving and diagnosing faults in electrical systems.
  • A safe and proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
  • Hold a current C Class driver's license and Senior First Aid Certificate
