Position Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Umuwa SA – or Alice Springs NT by negotiation

Responsible to: Business Manager

Come and join a team that's making a real difference to the health and quality of life to communities on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. Nganampa Health Council, an Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation, is seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to provide expert advice and guidance on all maintenance work essential to the smooth operation of our services. To be successful in this role you must have a current Driver's Licence as extensive travel across the APY Lands is involved. This is a dynamic and varied role which includes:

  • Lead day-to-day NHC maintenance operations across the facility or site.
  • Coordinate minor maintenance repairs and undertake hands on maintenance tasks
  • Plan and carry out preventative maintenance programs to ensure the continuity of NHC's clinical services.
  • Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns or urgent maintenance requests.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Keep detailed maintenance records, logs, and reports.
  • Monitor stock levels of maintenance supplies and tools.
  • Contribute to facility improvements and project planning.
  • Ensure the security of NHC property including management of the keying system on the APY Lands.
  • Communicate professionally with suppliers, stakeholders, tenants, and team members.
  • Participate as a member of the NHC Workplace Health Safety & Welfare Committee, participate in incident investigation and remediation as required, and provide regular reports.

ESSENTIAL


• Ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures.


• Demonstrated experience in maintenance management, including the application of computer-based maintenance management systems.


• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.


• Sound leadership skills with sound judgement and the ability to coach and influence others to achieve outcomes.


• Proven ability to prioritise effectively, manage competing demands and deliver outcomes.

• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and environmental management principles.


• Willingness to travel extensively for work purposes across the APY Lands

This role requires National Police Clearance, Working with Children's Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons Check.
