We're seeking a Fitter, Machinist & Skilled Operator to join our high-performance R&D and production machine shop in Crestmead, Logan, commencing in the new year.

This is a hands-on, technical role for someone with a passion for precision, innovation, and quality. You'll be working with advanced CNC and manual machines on projects critical to Australia's defence and manufacturing industries.

Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for NV1 Defence Security Clearance (preferred)


What You'll Be Doing

  • Programming and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC machines
  • CMN (Conventional Machining Network) machining
  • Loading/unloading enclosures, tools, and programs
  • Monitoring machine operations and performing quality control checks
  • Conducting routine maintenance on machines and tools
  • Producing and inspecting prototype, R&D, and one-off parts
  • Performing CAD modelling for machining tasks
  • Supporting reworks, part modifications, and hardware output
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area
  • Participating in team meetings and continuous improvement

  • Strong mechanical aptitude & workshop skills
  • Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to read engineering drawings & understand tolerances

  • NV1 security clearance eligibility

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical or Trade Certificate in Fitting & Machining (preferred)
  • CNC and/or steel manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with CAD modelling and machine maintenance
  • Current driver's license
  • Australian Citizenship (required for Defence work)
