Your Role
We are currently seeking experienced Physiotherapists to join our south-of-the-river teams, located at either Maddington, Kwinana or Yangebup on a permanent, full-time or part-time basis. As a Physiotherapist you will provide support to children, adolescents and adults, living with disability, to assist them with their goals, create development plans and provide them with the highest quality service delivery possible.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing physiotherapy services to customers with a range of clinical presentations, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury, Global Developmental Delay and Downs Syndrome.
- Providing hydrotherapy to customers within a community setting as required.
- Conducting lower limb assessments and gait reviews.
- Delivering a wide variety of therapy to customers to support gross motor skill development and reach key developmental milestones.
- Assessment and prescription of Assistive Technologies, as required.
- Working collaboratively with other disciplines to provide supports to customers and their support networks.
- Ongoing evaluation and review of customer's progress in line with their goals and plans
- Maintaining customer records and ensuring effective service delivery across the allied health team.
What makes you the right candidate?
- A Bachelor degree of Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 1 - 2 years of relevant clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills teamed with a flexible, can-do attitude.
- Ability to swim and be familiar with water safety procedures and precautions for hydrotherapy.
- A team player with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute positively to team culture and productivity.
- Experience working under the NDIS framework within the disability support sector.
- Have a strong focus on safety culture and willingness to always improve quality, safety and compliance.
- Hold a valid HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate with at least 6 months validity.
- All successful candidates must have or be willing to obtain the following before commencement: Drivers License, Working with Children Check, Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module.
