Part-Time Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Inverloch, Wonthaggi & Bass Coast

About the Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in upholding The Beach House People's high standards across our collection a portfolio of coastal holiday homes. This is a hands-on position that combines supervision, training, and quality control, ensuring every property is guest-ready and presented to a 5-star standard.

We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a warm, supportive approach to leading others. The role is 2 days per week during the off-season and 3 days per week in peak and summer seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision & Support: Oversee daily cleaning and housekeeping operations, maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency across all properties.
• Training & Mentoring: Support onboarding and provide ongoing training for new and existing cleaners, sharing best practices and fostering a positive, team-focused environment.
• Quality Inspections: Conduct regular property inspections to ensure presentation, hygiene, and readiness standards are consistently met.
• Guest Readiness Checks: Assist with final presentation touches, restocking supplies, and ensuring homes are guest-ready.
• Communication: Liaise with Property Managers, laundry and cleaning staff to report issues, provide feedback, and coordinate schedules.
• Problem Solving: Address minor maintenance or presentation issues promptly and professionally.
• Cleaning: This role may involve cleaning a 2-4 holiday homes & support laundry staff.
• Health & Safety: Promote and uphold safe cleaning practices, maintaining an organised and compliant work environment.

About You

• Experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping is ideal, but not essential, your warm leadership style and ability to motivate others is what matters most.
• Available 2–3 days per week, including the weeks following public holidays and throughout the Christmas/summer peak period. Salary is pro-rata.
• Passionate about maintaining high standards and confident in your own cleaning abilities.
• A strong communicator with a positive, approachable manner.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
• Comfortable working both independently and within a fast-paced, supportive team.
• Honest and willing to lead by example and get stuck in
• Holds a valid driver's licence and has access to reliable transport.
