In the role of Estimator, you will:

• Analyse tender documentation to create accurate Statements of Work (SOW), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Cost Plans.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of each project, ensuring all elements are considered in your estimates.
• Negotiate quotes to secure the best prices and value.
• Conduct detailed take-offs and prepare comprehensive tender estimates.
• Develop and present innovative bid strategies and value engineering options.
• Prepare methodologies and programmes for tender submissions as required.
• Assist in the preparation of complete tender submissions.
• Report directly to the Bid Manager, maintaining transparency and precision throughout the tender process.
• Meet strict deadlines and adhere to planned schedules, ensuring key weekly milestones are achieved.
• Follow internal processes to enhance a positive and productive team environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years' Australian estimating experience, with a strong preference for painting project experience.
• A relevant formal qualification or sufficient trade background.
• Solid understanding of the painting industry.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong administration and measurement skills, with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with Planswift or similar estimating programs.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team-oriented mindset and openness to learning and ongoing development.
• A Driver's License and White Card are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
