We are seeking an enthusiastic person to apply for an 18-month Full-time Traineeship (Certificate 3) working at Shamrock Hill 5 days a week studying through TAFE to obtain your certificate.

Who we are

We are a not-for-profit community based Early Childhood Centre, located in Ashtonfield in the Maitland Area. We have been operating within this community for over 20 years, with and EXCEEDING National Quality Standard. We are a centre who maintains long term staff members.  Our team comprises of teachers with many years' experience as well as new graduates. We are a small unique childcare centre enrolling 46 children per day.

We have a strong commitment to learning outdoors and within nature. We value children experiencing time in their community and aim to take children on outings most days.

Essential criteria

Ability to work well with others

Willingness to attend after hour meetings and training

Ability to take initiative and to work as part of a team

Demonstrate a commitment to the quality care and education for young children

Some experience with young children

Desirable Criteria

Basic knowledge of child development and play based learning
