The Opportunities

As our South Australian business continues to grow, we are seeking a Trainee Operator to join our valued team based in Adelaide. With a strong team in place, full training and support will be offered to an aspiring Operator.

Working in Adelaide and surrounding areas, our Operators work on a variety of construction and site-based projects to provide non-destructive digging services.

The role of an Operator will suit an individual who is hard working and enjoys working outdoors, this role is around 20% driving and 80% on the tools.

Role summary:

  • Driving HR Truck with Hydro excavation unit

  • Non-destructive digging with high pressure water to safely locate underground services

  • Drain cleaning

  • Work independently and in line with all safety guidelines to highest possible efficiencies.

  • Liaise and assist clients on site as required ensuring they receive a first-class service from the QEST team.

  • Complete relevant paperwork for each job.

  • Adhere to all Company and legislative WHS policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work extended hours if required.

About You

The fit to our existing team and providing a first-class service to our clients is what's most important. We are therefore seeking individuals who are hardworking, strong communicators and work well in a team.

A potential Trainee Operator might come from a labouring, landscaping or bricklaying type background with a willingness to learn. We will assist the right candidate to obtain their HR license along with a range of other tickets and licenses whilst they learn the role.

Essential for all applications

  • Driver's License

  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and pass any/all random drug and alcohol tests.

  • Full work rights in Australia.
