Mechanical Technician

The Role

The primary of focus of the role will be hands-on technician and assembly, commissioning and maintenance work with a secondary focus to include documentation and participation in risk identification and technical design feedback. Duties will include:

• Construction and assembly of state-of-the-art technology
• Various manual fabrication tasks
• Aid in mechanical component design
• Supporting both the Engineering and Machining Teams as required
• Management of material store procuring spare parts and materials as required.

The Candidate

• Strong mechanical aptitude ideally with some trade or tertiary qualification
• Extensive manual fabrication and assembly experience
• Ability to read 2D and 3D drawing with an understanding of the software used to produce them
• This role will require a baseline security clearance meaning you will need to be an Australian Citizen with at least 10 years experience in Australia.
