Hills Grammar is seeking a passionate and experienced Percussion and Drum Tutor to join our dynamic Music Department on a casual basis. This role is ideal for a skilled musician who enjoys working with students of varying ages and abilities in a supportive and creative learning environment.

Key Priorities

  • Teaching weekly lessons to individual students from Junior to Senior School age

  • Prepare students for performances, examinations, and ensemble participation.

  • Collaborate with the Music Department to support co-curricular music activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

  • Flexible teaching times available depending on both tutor availability and allocation of students.

Education and Experience

  • Qualifications and experience in teaching individual lessons, ensembles and small group teaching to both Junior and Senior school students

  • Strong working knowledge of music curricula

  • An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of a wide range of students

  • An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.
