Due to RM Watson's continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Estimator to be a part of our ongoing success and play a key role in securing complex civil remedial and infrastructure projects across NSW.

The role will prepare and coordinate first principle estimates in conjunction with the estimating support team incorporating accurate cost allocations, up-to-date market knowledge and identification of competitive advantages to successfully win projects.

About the Role:

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in tender preparation, pricing, and project budgeting across a range of remedial construction projects, including structural repairs, facade restoration, waterproofing, and heritage upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for remedial construction projects

  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and documents

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing

  • Conduct site visits and prepare scope-of-work documentation

  • Prepare project methodologies and programmes

  • Assist in contract negotiations and project handovers

  • Collaborate with project managers and the leadership team to ensure cost-effective solutions

About You:

What you will bring to the role:

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 8 years' civil estimating experience with a background in the construction industry

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating, specifically within the remedial construction sector

  • A sound understanding of commercial, contractual, and financial principles relevant to major civil infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of building codes, remedial methods, and industry standards

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

  • Demonstrated experience in the preparing and managing estimates for complex civil infrastructure specifically in the $50M-$200M range

  • Well-developed communication skills to assist in client meetings and to manage internal reviews and approvals
