About the role

We are seeking a full time Safety Officer who is proactive, reliable and hands-on person to join our EHS Team.

This person will need to be team-oriented, a strong communicator and follow instructions whilst providing support with day to day tasks.

Key Requirements/Duties

  • Maintain alignment with Queensland WHS Legislation, Code to Practice and any relevant Australian Standards.
  • Conduct site inspections across multi-sites, identify corrective actions, and update relevant records.
  • Review and update Risk Assessments (P&E and chemical), safe work procedures (SWP) and job safety analysis (JSA).
  • Monitor calibrations register, and actively engage suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Create weekly toolbox talks.
  • Update hazard and incident registers.
  • Assist in identifying safety training needs of workers
  • Scheduling time and resources for workers to complete appropriate safety training

About you

  • Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in EHS
  • Knowledge of Altora or similar (advantage)
  • Knowledge of ADG and Hazardous Areas (advantage)
  • Current Drivers License (essential)
  • Working in heights (desirable)
  • Confined space (desirable)
