About the role
We are seeking a full time Safety Officer who is proactive, reliable and hands-on person to join our EHS Team.
This person will need to be team-oriented, a strong communicator and follow instructions whilst providing support with day to day tasks.
Key Requirements/Duties
- Maintain alignment with Queensland WHS Legislation, Code to Practice and any relevant Australian Standards.
- Conduct site inspections across multi-sites, identify corrective actions, and update relevant records.
- Review and update Risk Assessments (P&E and chemical), safe work procedures (SWP) and job safety analysis (JSA).
- Monitor calibrations register, and actively engage suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Create weekly toolbox talks.
- Update hazard and incident registers.
- Assist in identifying safety training needs of workers
- Scheduling time and resources for workers to complete appropriate safety training
About you
- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
- Minimum 3 years experience in EHS
- Knowledge of Altora or similar (advantage)
- Knowledge of ADG and Hazardous Areas (advantage)
- Current Drivers License (essential)
- Working in heights (desirable)
- Confined space (desirable)
