Your new company

Our client, a leading national Hotel company, is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Darwin and work at one of their sites in the city.

Your new role

You will be responsible for performing and coordinating routine and reactive maintenance works across the building premises, to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. This is a Permanent role based in Darwin with a standard working week from Monday to Friday.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Work on the tools to perform general maintenance and repairs (painting and plastering, door fixing, etc.).
  • Conduct regular inspections of building infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialised repairs and scheduled servicing.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in planning and executing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a Hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as general building maintenance.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
