CSSD Technician

Are you an experienced CSSD Technician who is self-motivated and enthusiastic or currently studying towards Cert III in Sterilisation?

About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital are currently seeking a full time CSSD Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team working Monday to Thursday nights.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Therrmal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
• Comply with AS/NZ standards , GENCA
• Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
• Report and document all quality activities
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

Essential Criteria:

• Sound knowledge of AS/NZ
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
• Completed or whilling to study Cert III in Sterilisation
• Experience with tracking systems
• Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data base
• An interest in promoting best practice patient care
• A focus on professional development
