About The Role
The ICT Support Test Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring Kronos rules align with national Agreements and Awards, supporting accurate payroll processing across all Calvary business streams, including Public and Private Hospitals, Aged Care, and Community Services. This role involves reviewing, testing, and troubleshooting payroll systems, building matrices, and supporting systems integration and user acceptance testing.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to identify integration risks, develop test plans, and maintain effective service level agreements. Additionally, you will assist in system architecture assessments, documentation, and load testing to ensure compliance, efficiency, and reliability of payroll operations.
Reporting to the Payroll Systems Manager, this role requires a strong understanding of healthcare business processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant payroll solutions across diverse organisational settings.
Your main duties will include:
- Working closely with the payroll team and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues and mitigate risks in payroll processing.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry payroll practices through active participation in professional networks and forums.
- Identifying errors and implementing effective processes to prevent recurrence.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing risk management procedures to minimise operational risks.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure payroll practices comply with policy, procedure, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing strategies to enhance the skills and capabilities of payroll employees.
- Supporting the design and implementation of systems that streamline and automate payroll processes.
- Defining core capabilities and create processes to anticipate and meet future payroll requirements.
