ICE Engineering & Construction is a specialist Electrical and Instrumentation Installation company operating nationally across the Mining, Renewables, Utilities, Defence and Hydrocarbon sectors.

As part of the Tasmea Limited Group, we deliver electrical and instrumentation services on some of Australia's most significant projects.

We are seeking experienced Electrical Supervisors to join our team for an upcoming Port Pirie Smelter shutdown project.

About The Role

Reporting to the Onsite Superintendent, you will:

  • Review shutdown scopes, drawings, work packages, and specifications.
  • Plan and schedule resources, tools, equipment, and procure necessary materials.
  • Coordinate with planners, engineers, and other discipline supervisors.
  • Supervise electrical works including isolation, disconnection, maintenance, repair, testing, and reconnection.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEC, QA, and client requirements.
  • Lead and support a team of 10–20 employees to safely deliver shutdown activities.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • South Australian Electrical License (mandatory).
  • Proven supervisory experience leading teams of 10–20 people.
  • Demonstrated experience in shutdown and brownfield environments.
  • Experience with permitting systems.
  • Prior experience at the Port Pirie Smelter (highly regarded).

Mandatory Requirements

Successful applicants will need to provide evidence of:

  • South Australian Electrical License
  • White Card
  • Confined Space ticket
  • Working at Heights ticket
  • High Risk Licence (where applicable)
  • Vehicle & Equipment Licences
  • Clean shaven for fit mask compliance
  • Willingness to undergo daily alcohol testing
  • Blood lead level weekly testing during shutdown

Project Details

  • Location: Port Pirie
  • Duration: 60–90 days
  • Roster: 8/6
  • Hours: 12-hour shifts (Day Shift, with potential for Night Shift)
  • Accommodation & meals provided
  • Inductions: Site & client-specific inductions required prior to mobilisation.
