GFC is the world's largest processor of Western Rock Lobster, handling around over 60% of WA's commercial catch. We're a major contributor to the state's economy and a vital part of the coastal community, supporting fishermen, employees, and families from Kalbarri to Augusta.

About the Role: Labourer /Transport & Distribution Worker (Grade 1)We're gearing up for peak season (November to March) and seeking energetic Labourers; also known as Swampers to join our Transport & Distribution team in Dongara. This is a physically active, fast-paced role that's essential to keeping our supply chain flowing.

What you'll be doing:

  • Loading and unloading baskets of lobsters, bait, and fishing gear (up to 30kg per lift)
  • Working closely with our Logistics team, depot staff, and fishermen
  • Supporting deliveries across WA's coastline
  • Operating outside regular office hours—afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Responding to short-notice shift changes with a flexible, can-do attitude

Essential Requirements

  • Able to lift and move loads up to 30kg (dual-person lifts where needed)
  • Comfortable working with seafood and shellfish products

  • Able to pass:

  • Random drug testing

  • Basic English literacy and numeracy
  • Willing to wear PPE and follow safety instructions

Desirable Extras

  • Experience in light-to-medium industry (seafood, meat, dairy preferred)
  • Forklift licence (higher rate available for this skill)
