Role Description

This is a casual hybrid role for a Mechatronics Technician/Engineering Student, located in Osborne Park, WA, with opportunities to work remotely as required. The primary responsibilities include assisting in the design, development, and testing of our bespoke hardware systems. The role involves troubleshooting and performing maintenance on equipment, collaborating with engineers and other technicians, and documenting processes and results. The candidate will also be tasked with data collection and analysis, ensuring all operations comply with QAQC standards.

Application of your studies is expected during the course of employment, and you will be supported to apply learnings thereby the role suits a 3rd/4th year student.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an Engineering degree (preferably Mechatronics) or relevant technical qualification
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining mechatronic systems (hobby and/or consumer)
  • Experience with 3D printing on FDM printers (hobby and/or consumer)
  • Experience with Fusion360 and/or Solidworks
  • Experience with electronic cabling, connectors, soldering (hobby)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on design and development projects
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and documentation
  • Basic knowledge of QAQC standards and procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
