Private Billing Specialist GP

Rise Dispensary is a dedicated Medicinal Cannabis Clinic and Dispensary located in both Holland Park and Beenleigh, Queensland.

Rise Dispensary provides privately billed Medicinal Cannabis consultations to patients by qualified GPs in an environment dedicated to, and supportive of, this growing area of Medical Practice.

We have a multi-disciplinary, collegiate team of professionals who work together for the benefit of our patients, the growth of the Practice, and the prosperity of all those involved.

At Rise, we are seeking unrestricted VR GPs with an interest in this exciting space, to work one to two days per week depending on the doctor's individual circumstances.

With a large existing patient base and a rapidly growing appointment schedule, we offer an opportunity for GPs to join the current team of two GPs, ten on-site Pharmacists, and multiple support staff.

Onboarding will include access to training and assistance with becoming an Authorised Prescriber (AP) with the TGA. This process takes two to three months. There are also opportunities to sit in sessions with Authorised Prescribers and to be mentored to build experience and confidence.

Gross billings average between $500 and $600 per hour as all consultations are privately billed. Current appointment costs for the patient are:-

Initial assessment (20 minutes) = $150

Review appointment (10 minutes) = $100

Most appointments are face to face so that the patient receives the appropriate Medicare rebate.

Doctors that are already Authorised Prescribers are also encouraged to apply.

Above market fee split arrangement of 75% (or $180 per hour, whichever is higher) is available for the successful Clinician.

All patients are required to have a chronic condition for more than three months and have tried conventional treatments without success. All patients require a referral from their regular GP and a health summary. Recreational and drug seekers will not be tolerated.
