- Gather and evaluate evidence (e.g. similarity reports, assessment artefacts, LMS logs, viva transcripts).
- Prepare comprehensive case briefings, allegation notices, interview records, and recommendations for decision-makers.
- Ensure procedural fairness, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all investigation processes.
Case Management and Administration
- Manage the full lifecycle of cases—from initial referral to outcome and appeal.
- Draft formal correspondence, schedule meetings, record decisions, and track sanctions.
- Maintain secure, auditable records in institutional systems.
- Support compliance with privacy, FOI, and record-keeping standards.
Stakeholder Engagement and Education
- Advise students and staff on academic integrity and conduct policies, processes, and evidence requirements.
- Deliver training to academic and professional staff on investigation protocols, prevention strategies, and assessment design that discourages misconduct.
- Educate students about ethical academic behaviour and the implications of breaches.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to embed academic integrity principles in learning and assessment design.
Data, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Track case volumes, processing times, and outcome trends to support data-driven improvements.
- Produce periodic (semester and annual) reports for senior management and TEQSA submissions.
- Identify emerging misconduct patterns, particularly in relation to AI-assisted work, and recommend preventive strategies.
- Contribute to the development of support materials, policy documents, and communication resources that enhance institutional integrity culture.
Policy, Compliance, and Risk
- Apply relevant institutional policies and ensure alignment with national standards and regulatory expectations.
- Keep abreast of TEQSA integrity guidance and legislative requirements, including the prohibition on commercial cheating services.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Support the preparation of evidence for regulatory reviews and risk assessments.
