The Feed Mill Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation of the muesli animal feed production line. This role involves operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring product quality, and safely handling finished goods. The Operator will also perform routine checks, take product samples, and manage pallet movements using a forklift.

Duties:

Machine Operation & Monitoring

§ Operate muesli feed production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

§ Adjust machine settings to maintain product consistency and minimise downtime.

§ Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot basic issues.

Maintenance & Cleaning

§ Perform daily preventative maintenance checks on machinery.

§ Maintain production line equipment to ensure hygiene and safe operation.

§ Report mechanical faults to maintenance personnel.

Bagging

§ Fill and stitch bags to the required weight and quality standards.

§ Stack finished product bags safely and efficiently onto pallets.

§ Wrap and prepare pallets for storage or dispatch.

Quality Control

§ Take routine product samples for quality testing.

§ Record batch details and maintain accurate production logs.

§ Print the best before date on each bag.

Forklift Operation

§ Transport finished product pallets to storage or dispatch areas.

§ Load/unload goods as required while following safe forklift practices.

§ Maintain forklift in safe operating condition.

Safety & Compliance

§ Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

§ Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

§ Adhere to company policies and quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
